January Diet Update
These past three weeks I did better with my food choices. I started the 21 day fix workouts last Monday because it was time, and then I stopped on Tuesday. Oops! It really is time to get working out though…I know I went through major surgery and had a baby and all that, but it has been 13 weeks and time for me to get it together. I am allowing the baby to be my excuse and I really need to stop. There is no reason why I cant find a workout to do with her or while she’s napping. The unfortunate part for me is that her naps are generally pretty short (30ish minutes) and I have a lot of other things to get done in that time.
I’m going to look into finding a mommy and me workout.
Parker and I both had cold for about a week, so we focused on getting ourselves better! I can’t take any medication because I’m breastfeeding and didn’t want to risk my supply dropping, so I had to go about it all natural! I focused on getting good nutrition and helping my immune system do it’s thing! Here is a little tid bit on how to naturally help yourself through a cold.
We did pretty well with our meals and kept the junk to only a few days. I mean, I ate nothing but chicken soup for 4 of those days LOL but, when you are so congested you can’t taste your food, there is no point in eating anything else! Plus, the bone broth as such good nutrients and is another way to hydrate during a cold. I’m proud of that because any improvement at all is something to be proud of.
I never thought I’d be perfect from day 1 so I’m celebrating the small wins.
The main goal is to be healthier…one week at a time! Just because it's going to take me a while to get into the swing of it, doesn't mean I should give up. Just because I'm not perfect from day 1 doesn't mean I should give up.
Every additional vegetable or healthy item is nourishing my body and it's okay if I'm not eating enough yet, because I will. It may take more time, but I'm working on it!
