Let me admit that I have a small Spinach Artichoke Dip obsession. I don’t even like spinach or artichokes so I’m not entirely sure why…But I’ve ordered it as an app at just about every restaurant I’ve eaten at. Definitely at every restaurant near my home. Usually when I order it, I am happy with what I get. I also always think, wow, my recipe is really damn good and better! The one thing I need to play around with is what to serve with the dip. I’m a fan of the classic tortilla chip, but you could spice it up and serve it with pita bread, or Hawaiian Rolls, or whatever your favorite chip is. That is usually the only reason a restaurant dip could be better than mine, their chips/breads are better than the classic Tostidos brand chip :)

I promise I’m not just saying that because it’s mine. I have made it for just about every party or gathering in the past few years. I told you, I’m obsessed. People keep telling me how delicious it is. Every.Single.Time!! I know the Super Bowl was a few weeks ago, so think about the next party you have. Maybe, put a reminder in your phone to make this recipe for your friends and family next year ;)  Are you getting together with family on Easter? Mother’s Day? St. Patrick’s Day? This Cheesy Spinach Artichoke Dip is a necessary appetizer for you to bring.

The dish is served warm, which is my favorite way to eat Spinach Artichoke Dip. I really don’t like it cold…so that’s why I was on a quest to make the perfect warm recipe. I generally just bake it in an 8x8 dish and leave it out for people to eat. However, I have transferred it to a slow cooker to keep it warm for the length of the party. I’ve never tried to just cook it in the slow-cooker, but I’m sure it would work very well! I’d imagine it takes a couple of hours for everything to be melted and combined.

Tips for Cooking

  • Mix the ingredients right in the dish you plan to bake. It makes for less clean up!

  • Stir half way through baking, it just seems to help it out.

  • If you want, you could make this dish in the slow cooker. It would probably take a couple of hours for everything to get melted. I usually bake it and then transfer it!
